What is a Precision Storm Shelter?

Precision Precast Storm Shelter Columbia MO products

Imagine a safe deposit box big enough to hold your whole family. This vault is made of concrete that has been tested to withstand pressures up to 5,000 pounds per square inch. Its 6-gauge plate steel door meets guidlines established by FEMA bulletins 320 & 361 ICC-500. In tests conducted by the Wind Science & Engineering Research Center at Texas Tech University, the steel door passed windborne debris tests of 250 miles per hour.

When a tornado is imminent, you and your family (and pets) open the steel plate door, descend the gentle sloping built-in steps and latch the door securely behind you. Two air vents provide more than adequate fresh air access. Let the winds roar. You and your family are safe and secure.
